TERMS OF USE
Last updated 24 October 2026
These terms apply whenever you use Restaurant Versus. By using the site, you agree to them. If you don’t agree, please don’t use the site. Our Rules and Privacy pages also apply.
USING THE SITE
Restaurant Versus is free to use. You don’t need an account, and the site is for your own personal, non-commercial use.
Please don’t try to manipulate results. That includes using bots, scripts or other automated tools, clearing your browser data or switching devices to vote again in the same matchup, organising fake votes, or interfering with the site, its security or its database.
If we believe someone has broken these terms, we may remove their nominations or votes and block access from their device or network.
RESULTS AND RESTAURANT NAMES
Results show how visitors voted. They are public opinion, not a review, rating or statement of fact by us, and they say nothing about a restaurant’s hygiene, safety or quality.
Restaurant names belong to their owners and are used only to identify the places people nominate. Restaurant Versus is independent and isn’t affiliated with, sponsored by or endorsed by any restaurant listed.
Restaurant details come from the Food Standards Agency’s food hygiene rating data, used under the Open Government Licence. They may be out of date or incomplete.
OUR CONTENT
The site’s design, text, graphics and code belong to Restaurant Versus or to the people we license them from. You’re welcome to share links to the site and screenshots of results.
You may not copy the site, or scrape or bulk-download its data, without our written permission.
NO GUARANTEES
We provide the site as it is. We work to keep it running and accurate, but we can’t promise it will always be available, error-free or secure. We may change, pause or end any competition or part of the site at any time.
OUR RESPONSIBILITY TO YOU
The site is free, so as far as the law allows, we aren’t responsible for any loss that comes from using it, including any decision you make based on its results.
Nothing in these terms limits responsibility that can’t be limited by law, such as for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud. Your statutory rights as a consumer are not affected.
CHANGES AND THE LAW
We may update these terms, and the date at the top shows the latest version. These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. If you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland, you can also bring a claim in your local courts. Questions? Email hello@restaurantversus.com.
